Lashes for Days

Who doesn't love the look of thick, fluttery lashes? Anyone? I didn't think so! I bet there's more of us than I can count that weren't blessed with thick, fluttery lashes. I also bet that there's even more of us that just can't get the hang of applying false lashes.

I'm going to bare it all to you guys, and show you what my naked lashes look like on one side, then you'll see what 3 and 6 cluster lashes looks like.

They can be uncomfortable when they aren't applied properly. They can poke us in the eyeball all day. They are also likely to just fall off, maybe straight into your morning coffee. But have no fear my dear friends, I've come up with a way to add volume to your own lashes without using a strip of false lashes.

I know I didn't come up with this trick, I'm not here to take credit for it, lash companies came out with this trick. They sell this little package of cluster lashes. So, it's like say 7 little "hairs" attached to this little tiny bulb at the end. Essentially you just dip that little bulb into eyelash glue and then place it on your lash line. They also come in different lengths. Short, medium, and long. If you're going for more natural then pick the one that is closest to your lash length. If you want to give yourself a little cat-eye action on the outer corner then go a length longer for some drama.

The great thing about applying lashes this way is that you get to customize what YOU want. If you only want or need to add some volume on the outside corner, then just apply 3 little clusters on the outside of your lash line. If you want to fill in the whole lash line, go for it, girlfriend!

I used these. Except the ones I'm wearing are in short. I also just used the Ardell Lash Glue.

Amazon Finds!

I wish that I could show you all my Amazon past orders. You could not possibly understand how much money I spend on there weekly! It's my go-to shopping place, it's so easy to open the app and just scroll through the deals, it's basically like scrolling through your Facebook NewsFeed. ;) My sister is the ONLY person that really knows my addiction and that's because she has my login information and orders herself, haha! I am a firm believer that Amazon Prime is 100% worth the $99 yearly fee. I order everything from makeup to groceries to shoes to books to vitamins to cleaning supplies.

I have found a few drugstore beauty products that you'd normally buy at Wal-Mart or Target that are cheaper through Amazon. (I will say, I don't know if you don't have prime if it would be worth it to spend the money on shipping.) Amazon does have a Luxury Makeup Section, the prices are basically the same as if you ordered from the companies website, BUT if you only want one item, typically you'd have to spend $7-10ish on shipping from other companies, but with Amazon Prime, you can order that $18 product with free 2-day shipping, opposed to the $18 product plus $7 shipping plus a weeks shipping time. *I feel like that was the longest sentence ever, but whatever, LOL!

I'm just going to list out a few items that I've found that will save you some money!

Maybelline Fit Me! Matte + Poreless Foundation
Amazon: $4.74  Target: $5.99  Maybelline: $7.99

Maybelline Fit Me! Concealer
Amazon: $4.99  Target: $5.49  Ulta: $6.99

Covergirl Loose Finishing Powder
Amazon: $4.87  Target: $5.29  Ulta: $6.49

Physicians Formula Murumuru Butter Bronzer
Amazon: $11.24  Target: $14.39  Ulta: $14.99

Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes
Amazon: $24.78 for 6 = $4.13 for 1
Walmart: $6.25 for 1

So that was a few of the drugstore items that I found to be a really good deal from Amazon! I have a couple of products that I had never heard of before, but gave them a shot and loved them!

EDDIE FUNKHOUSER Lux Light Hydrating Primer, Candlelight -- this is a hydrating/illuminating primer, it does have some glitter in it, but once you put foundation on, the glitter disappears.
Amazon: $14.99
-Side note: I did a little research while typing this blog and went to the Eddie Funkhouser website, and literally EVERYTHING was sold out. Weird.

Shany Detox Professional Brush Cleaner
Amazon: $9.95  Shany website: $12.00

Kleancolor Madly Matte Lipcolor
Amazon: $6.08 for SIX full-size colors! They are actually really nice liquid matte lipsticks, too!

This next one is one of my FAVORITE Amazon finds:

Clinique High Impact Mascara
On Amazon, you can order a set of 4 travel size tubes for $11.99, which is a total of 0.56 ounces of product. If you order from Clinique, Sephora or Ulta just ONE regular tube it is $17.50 for 0.28 ounces of product. Let that sink in for a moment. DOUBLE the amount of product for $5.51 less! You are welcome!

You can find all sorts of travel-size products on Amazon for just dollars, which is a great way to find out if you like the product before committing to the full-size amount.

I really hope that you all took the time to read all of this, I know it's sort of a lot, but I feel like you can find such amazing things on Amazon that are just hiding from us. I will add a little disclaimer: Amazon prices are changing all the time, so the prices I told you today, MIGHT not always apply. Also, look around on Amazon, there are sellers on there always trying to jack up the prices. If you find something that you aren't sure if it will save you money, just type the product name into a Google search and it will show you prices from different stores you can order from. You can use your own judgment.

Also, a lot of these products on Amazon have a subscribe and save option. So, if it is something that you use all the time, you can save 5% by having it automatically shipped to you every month or 3 months. Add 5 or more products and save 20%!!!

Let us know in the comments down below if you have any money saving places to buy your favorite makeup or beauty items!

Product Review!

Wet n' Wild Liquid Catsuit Liquid Matte Lipstick

As soon as I saw this product was coming out, I had to get my hands on it. My sister insisted I should just go on to the website and order every single color, the lipstick hoarder in my wanted to do just that, but the more reasonable me said not to.. I don't know why she has to come out sometimes! ;)

I went on a hunt for these *hopefully* beautiful lipsticks. And when I say hunt, I mean it! I went into a bunch of different drugstores, and FINALLY Walgreens had put the display out. I must have been late to the game, though because it was slim pickin's. I did manage to find two different shades that I thought would suit me. I stay away from any colors that have a lot of orange in them because orange and my lips do not get along. There is another color that I'd really like to get ahold of, and there may or may not be an order being placed very soon.

As soon as I got home, I swatched the colors, and holy crap, I was in love. It was love at first site! I immediately put on the color "Give me Mocha" and if it was possible, I feel deeper in love. It's such a nice combo of brown and red. It has enough brown to call it a "nude" color, and I'm sure on deeper skin tones than myself it would be a perfect nude shade, but it has enough red undertones in that it doesn't make me look washed out. I wore it for about 5 hours at home, eating and drinking, and nothing transferred off. It also never got crumbly or flaky. Honestly, I forgot I even had it on until my fiance told me my lipstick still looked good after a couple of hours. It was so comfortable on my lips that I literally forgot I was even wearing it!

So, naturally, the next day for work I had to try out the other color. And naturally, I had to plan my outfit and the rest of my makeup around this color. Berry Recognize went on just as smoothly as Give Me Mocha and also performed just as well. I wore it for 5 hours before lunch and never had any problems with fading or flaking. I did have a little residue on my coffee cup, but nothing to fuss over.

These Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipsticks, in my opinion, are worth every bit of the $5.99 I paid for them.  I really think that Wet n' Wild hit it out of the ballpark for a drugstore liquid lipstick. I will say that I didn't like the formula of their metallic lipsticks, but these are completely different. If you were ever on the fence about getting these, I say RUN, DO NOT walk to the drugstore and grab whatever colors you can! They are going to be in steady rotation for me!

If you have tried these, let a comment down below and let me know what you thought of them! What is your favorite color? Mine out of the two is Give Me Mocha!

Goodnight my lovies, thank you SO much for stopping by!

Where I've Been...

Sorry to any of you that follow my blog and have been wondering where I've been.  Nothing catastrophic has happened, except life, and the holiday season. This time of year  I'm extremely busy at work. For those of you that don't know, I work in a spa as a hairstylist, makeup artist and I also do the occasional mani + pedi; so when I say I have been busy, I HAVE BEEN BUSY. Good for my wallet, bad for my blog. I've bee spending a lot of time with my family, also. Don't worry, I have also been a little lazy. I do feel like things are finally slowing down, and I can take the time to work on my blog again.  It does feel nice to be able to sit down and type a few things out.

When a new year starts, I always try to make a resolution or two. I feel like they mainly help me to get focused going into the new year. So, this year, I made a few. Nothing terribly life changing or hard. We tend to slack off on them after a few months anyways, so I thought I'd keep it simple this year.

My first for YOU guys is to be more consistent with my blog. I need to get content out to you, and that is going to be one of my main goals this year. I feel like I have real knowledge that can be useful to everyday girls, or guys, and I want it out there for you to see.

My second resolution is to save more money. I feel like this is one that I make a lot and also break a lot. But I also think it's one that I can keep if I'm more disciplined. Plus, when you write them down and tell everyone that will listen to you, it keeps you more accountable! So, this is me, telling the world that I will save more money this year.

My last resolution for this year is to meal plan. And I'm not talking about meal prepping for the week, I'm talking about planning dinner for the entire week, grocery shop for that menu, and stick to it. I get into a food rut sometimes and I feel like we eat the same three things over and over again. I bought a weekly planner to write everything out in so I can make sure we aren't having tacos four times in one week, but honestly, who would even complain? Not me, and certainly not my fiancé. ;)

So far I've been doing pretty good. I'm striving to get better with each passing day. Who am I kidding? That's all we can really ask for in life.  So, let me now in the comments what your resolutions are! Shout them out, hold your own self accountable for the goals you set. Help me to stay accountable for my goals! We are all in this crazy world together, we need to help each other as much as we can!!
